More Wine, Please…
In a previous post I mentioned the fact that we have some pretty darn good wines up here in the foothills – many award winners in fact. I happen to be very fond of good wine.
The Sierra Vintners “Discover Gold” Wine Trail will take place on June 2nd and 3rd. They fondly call our region, “Napa with a Better Altitude” or “Sonoma with More Character and Less Traffic.” Here among our rolling hills and back roads you’ll find small, family-owned wineries that produce premium hand-crafted, award-winning wines.
A two day pass is $40, Saturday or Sunday only is $30 and a Designated Driver pass is only $10 – that means food and goodies but no tastings.
You may start your tour at any of the participating wineries where you will receive your commemorative wine glass, a wristband and a program outlining what each winery will be offering. View the program preview and purchase tickets online at www.sierravintners.com
Even if you choose not to participate in this event, you can always check out the great tasting rooms that can be found in Grass Valley and Nevada City.
